Purge Log File (menu option)
 
The WorkPDA Interface Utility features two types of log history files:
  1. The Activity Log History File, each download and upload activities are recorded in this file as a reference tool for tracking transactions performed.

  2. The Upload Exceptions Log File, each upload exceptions are recorded in this file during the Upload process.

The Activity Log History file can be accessed from any of the three menu options located under the PDA Sync Options section on the main menu screen. Located on the TAB section on each screen as shown to the left.
The Upload Exceptions Log File can be access from the UpLoad To PDA screen as shown to the right.
 
Note: This utility will not automatically purge or delete any log records from either of these history files, so you should purge these files every so often.
 
Purpose
  • Delete (remove) records from Activity Log History File.

  • Delete (remove) records from Upload Exceptions Log File

Note: Purging records from either history file will not affect the current PC WorkPDA Sync files, the PDA Device files or ProServe files.
 
1) Purge the Activity Log History File
 
 
  • Enter the Time Frame to Purge.

  • Select the Purge button

  • When prompted to verify, select Continue, The purge process will take place in a temporary state allowing you to Quit without saving changes.

  • The browse window will show all log records that will remain.

  • Select Save to update system with changes made.

  • Select Quit to quit without saving changes.

2) Purge the Upload Exceptions Log File
 
  • Select the Exceptions TAB at the top of this Purge Utility screen.

 
  • Enter the Time Frame to Purge.

  • Select the Purge button

  • When prompted to verify, select Continue, The purge process will take place in a temporary state allowing you to Quit without saving changes.

  • The browse window will show all log records that will remain.

  • Select Save to update system with changes made.

  • Select Quit to quit without saving changes.
