Interface Utility Reference Guide
website. This product is designed for our ProServe
II Series software products as an
add-on utility. It's designed to interface ProServe II data with
most Palm OS or Pocket PC compatible PDA devices. It includes a PDA
Application that's installed on your PDA device and it works in conjunction
with your PDA devices synchronization software. The Interface is
installed with and runs from within ProServe II. |

The basic idea is to download open work orders, this
builds the PC WorkPDA Sync files. Then synchronize to your PDA device using
the sync program that comes with your PDA. Then process the work orders
on your PDA using the custom application and then synchronize back with your
PC. Then
upload completed work orders into ProServe II.

The Download procedure is
similar to the print work order forms that you now use. You enter a time
frame, department code, route, etc.. for the work orders and contacts you
wish to download.

The Upload procedure simply
reads from the PC WorkPDA Sync file and updates ProServe with completed
work orders and payments. It leaves un-worked orders in the PC WorkPDA
Sync file to be synchronized back to the PDA device.
